The breaking news report that you all probably received is incorrect, Carney said at the beginning of his briefing.
He added: There is no deal. We are not close to a deal.
Carney added that Obama is in discussions with all the leaders of Congress, and that Obama is still looking for the biggest deal possible.

So does boner, per Rush.
BWAHAHA! The dems and their minions at the NYT got called on their early leak, trying to influence the vote.
The biggest deal possible? He means with the most spending right?
So they both agreed to keep it quiet until the tea partiers’ CCB gets voted down, as a necessary posturing for Boehner to get enough freshman GOP votes.
All the news that fits we print.
At best it is a guess, when rush said we need new leadership in the house he scared the crap out of the spineless bunch.
LOL, gotta love the lame stream media and their pre-written articles.
This is the purported deal:
“The new revenue tied to the looming agreement to increase the debt limit by Aug. 2 would be produced in 2012 through a tax code rewrite that would lower individual and corporate rates, close loopholes, end tax breaks and make other adjustments to produce revenue gains.”
This means a huge tax increase on the middle class and uppper middle class, as the slight decrease in the marginal rate will be offset 10 times or more with decreased deductions for home interest, retirement, health insurance, and charitable donations.
The largest tax increase in American history, from the party that promised no tax increases.
If this deal happens, I am finished with the Republican party forever and will support a new party that protects the middle class.
This is a tax grab to for more spending (whose rate of increase will merely be slightly lower).
Republicans now giving us more taxes to pay for more spending.
They are dead as a doornail if they vote for this.
Every day there’s no debt ceiling increase, is a good day.
For me, not millions, but I am doing very ok. ;>)
If Boner made a deal then he undermined his caucus by not forcing the senate to at least consider Cut Cap and Balance. Once again, GOPers outmaneuver themselves.
If they increase taxes, they are dead men walking, politically.
Rush was just discussing this:

How ‘bout the Senate? McConnell is even worse than Boehner!
I am so angry right now. What is wrong with these guys!!! They have the wind at their backs. Stop negotiating with this communist!!!! AAAHHHHHHHHH!!! (head explodes)
