Rep. Frank Wolf, a Virginia Republican, and Rep. Jim Cooper, a New Democrattype from Tennessee, have sent a letter to leaders Boehner and Pelosi calling for a vote on the Gang proposal.
This thing, for better and worse (and worse), could have legs.

How do you vote on what is essentially a sketch on a cocktail napkin?
This is going nowhere in the House. Boehner woudn’t even let it come up for a vote. Frank Wolf is a nobody. Frank Wolf doesn’t even know who Frank Wolf is.
What would Pelosi have to do with it? Can she bring stuff up for vote?
As you know, obama has now said he’ll agree to a temp hike. That means raise the debt limit but don’t cut crap.
I hate that these people can take my money and use it to take my rights and enslave me. :(:(:(:(:(:(
Brevity is the soul of wit (or however that goes)...very well put, sir.
lol this has no legs
rotflmao
I highly doubt it’ll pass in the House.
They are Judenrat.
So far, the House GOPers, in spite of Boehner's efforts to shrink, have forced him to stand up vs. the enemy. So far it's working... I don't think a short-term agreement will fly without some serious cuts.
As I understand it, it’s a proposal... not even written down! How do you vote on no legislation (I mean, when the GOP is in charge... that actually happened a lot in the last Congress...)?!

Murkowski

Lugar
McCain
Hatch

I hate to give the Marxists rule for the next two decades or more, but why do I support a party who is merely a bunch of sissified, weak RINO’s?
Why do I support these people at all?
A third party, plus the media-immigration-Soros complex will make Dems winners for many years to come, but I hate to choose “lesser of evils.”
These maggots voted for Cap and Trade, Dodd-Frank and slap the TEA Party as right-wing wingnuts.
Gays, unions and minority grivance groups are pushing for total control, like here in CA...this is SO FRUSTRATING!
For worse. Why in the world is there any reason to wonder at this point? Are we that stupid? The country is deliberatly being taken down and the republican socialists in the senate are helping. It is time for the people to stand up and protect the country from the government. That is what patriots do. There is no more time.
You are correct. But everybody who wants to appear “reasonable” says we have to stick with the R party socialists. They have been saying it since Reagan. It is long since time to dump both socialist parties before the country comes to war.
Actual Title: Could the Gangs Plan Pass the House?
You shouldn’t change titles, it’s against the rules of the site, and causes trouble with searching and duplicate entries.
Let’s see: quick, and without using the internet, tell me three things about Frank Wolf that back your opinion. Do you know what his congressional district is? Do you know his position on Abortion, guns, Obamacare, global warming?
I’m curious.
To prevent duplication, please do not alter the published title, thanks.
Further, he is beloved in his district. A serious conservative challenge was launched against him in 2010, and failed miserably. I would suggest that there are better ways to focus the effort to increase the conservative ratings of congress than to spend time and money targetting Frank Wolf. Maybe he'll retire soon.
That’s the stupid thing about this — there’s no proposal, no bill, and no chance of having one anytime soon, that would look like the “gang of 6 plan”.
If the Senate wants, they can take the bill the house just passed, amend it to the gang-of-six plan, see if they can get that amendment through the Senate, and send it back to the house.
Except that since the house bill didn’t have revenue (taxes) in it, the Senate can’t actually do this, since all revenue bills must initiate in the house.
