This morning, the Daily Caller published a story I was inclined to leave to others: Michele Bachmann suffers from severe migraines.
But now the Bachmann camp has suddenly invited a whole lot more scrutiny to the story. At an event today, ABC News reporter Brian Ross tried to ask her about her condition, and according to another reporter on the scene, Times Michael Crowley, Bachmanns handlers got pretty rough and aggressive with Ross:
"Ross dashed after Bachmann, repeatedly asking whether she had ever missed a House vote due to a migraine. She ignored him. Ross pursued her into a parking area behind the stage. Her aides grew alarmed. When Ross made a beeline for the white SUV waiting to carry Bachmann away, two Bachmann men pounced on him, grabbing and pushing him multiple times with what looked to me like unusual force. In fact, I have never seen a reporter treated so roughly at a campaign event, especially not a presidential one. Ross was finally able to break away and lob his question at Bachmann one more time, but she ignored him again. Afterward, I asked Ross a hard-nosed pro who nevertheless seemed slightly shaken whether hed ever been treated so roughly. A few times, he told me. Mostly by mafia people.
Jeffrey Schneider, a senior vice president for ABC news, reiterated the charge in an interview with me just now.

A “Madam President” is going to be guarded a lot more zealously than a “Mister President.” Scott Brown probably could have personally knocked the blocks off of the overly nosy press and didn’t need goons. But I doubt whether a President Bachmann could duplicate the scene where George W. Bush actually saved one of his bodyguards by plucking the guy out of the grasp of a couple of goons.
There isn’t any Minnesota law corresponding to the Alaskan law with the file-all-the-frivolous-lawsuits-you-want-for-free loophole in it.
“When Ross made a beeline for the white SUV waiting to carry Bachmann away”
It sound like he tried to block her path, if so he has no right to do so. and got shoved aside. Now he’s trying to be the story.
Brian Ross is the typical @sshole lib.
He reported one night on Sawyers program that Bachman’s husband’s clinic was a Christian facility. I’m shocked! Christian? A dirty word to libs?
Somebody should tell Ross to straighten his skirt, put on new lipsstick, and go stalk someone else.
that c sucker needs a nose re alignment
Every four years, just after the Presidential election, the United States Government Policy and Supporting Positions, commonly known as the Plum Book, is published, alternately, by the Senate Committee on Governmental Affairs and the House Committee on Government Reform. The Plum Book is used to identify presidentially appointed positions within the Federal Government.
It is supposed to be an "insider" view of DC goings on...from a left-of-center viewpoint.
What it is, in fact, is a hard left pile of dreck that is so far out there that it wouldn't even meet the Washington Post's standards for print journalism. And if you think about it, that's got to be pretty far left.
She isn’t a Madame President ...and you clearly don’t know the story about what happened in the Scott Brown campaign.
Being a plausibly viable candidate is enough to attract some nuts.
There is nothing in the story about him blocking her path.
This is similiar to the incident in the Brown campaign.
There is video of that event. There is video of this event. We will compare when the latest one comes out.
He is not some random person off the street. He is a reporter chasing after her with questions she didn’t like.
The press have the right to chase after a politician to ask questions.
Saw Bob Beckel (sp?) on a show yesterday make that very claim, that a Tea Partier spit on a congressperson as he went about trashing the TP movement. It went unchallenged as usual. RedEye?
Bachmann needs to be tough on these pukes. Going after Bachmann....paprazzi style...needs to be stopped in its tracks. Ross is a bitch who deserved it. Good for her! You know Ross wouldnt have ran after Obamas car to ask him about Ayres...
Maybe they should get used to the idea of a President Bachmann because that’s how they’ll get treated if they try that AFTER the election....
That is the show that took Becks slot, called “the five”.
If Coakley used this excuse she would have been roasted:
Second Update: The Washington Post’s Aaron Blake posted a response from Bachmann’s campaign on Twitter: “We didn’t have time for any questions and we made it clear ... he disregarded repeated requests to stay back.”
BOR said he was having something about his on his show tomorrow..if he could get the facts straight..
Where the hell has Brian Ross been during the last two years when he and his fellow Reporters totally ignored asking Obama pointed questions of his past and Present history.
He and they did NO investigations on Obama whats so ever.
He’s a failure.
A reporter shoves his face in where it is not wanted and is surprised someone use physical force to stop him. Non story here, just some more Bachman bashing.
