The 234-190 vote sends the "cut, cap and balance" plan to the Democratic-controlled Senate, where it has virtually no chance of passing.
(Excerpt) Read more at google.com ...
You need to see post 85- and the bit SHE added to the pledge.
For the record................I don't do links, never have done, never shall and there's recent link posted, right on this thread, that will lead you to what she said more recently. Go read it.
Cap - Enforceable spending caps that will put federal spending on a path to a balanced budget.
Balance - Congressional passage of a Balanced Budget Amendment to the U.S. Constitution -- but only if it includes both a spending limitation and a super-majority for raising taxes, in addition to balancing revenues and expenses."
This is the pledge she signed.... Nothing about ObamaCare. Hmmmm
And since you have seen it, trying totrash me, doesn't help your case one whit.
On Ron Paul's website he says: This bill only serves to sanction the status quo by putting forth a $1 trillion budget deficit and authorizing a $2.4 trillion increase in the debt limit.
Connie Mack also voted 'no' because he said this bill allowed for an increase in the debt ceiling.
Is this bill exactly the same as Jim DeMint's pledge? Or is this something Boehner put up to give Republicans cover for ultimately voting to raise the debt ceiling?
I repeat, what is difficult for you to understand?
Months ago, and repeatedly, she has stated she will vote no to any proposal to raise the debt ceiling that does not include the repeal of Obamacare.
Now she signed a pledge to support a bill to cut cap and balance. And she will support a bill to cut cap and balance, and she will not support any bill that raises the debt limit without repealing Obamacare.
So to keep it simple for you guys, just because she signed a pledge to support a bill to cut cap and balance, she did not also sign something going back on her statement that she’s been hammering home for months.
In short, she did not sign a pledge to support **ANY** cut cap and balance bill, but to support a cut cap and balance bill.
Did you guys ever take a logic class?
It’s not really that difficult.
“For the record................I don’t do links, never have done, never shall and there’s recent link posted, right on this thread, that will lead you to what she said more recently. Go read it.”
Well if I had made a dumb claim that I couldn’t substantiate I wouldn’t “do links” either.
I give up. If you don’t understand by now, you are not going to.
In that link posted no where did Bachmann say she would be voting for cut, cap and balance legislation. When she signed DeMint’s pledge she added a line for defunding of Obamacare. You may disagree, but her vote is consistent with what she’s said. Ron Paul also signed DeMint’s pledge but voted against this legislation.
If Bachmann wants to live by Obamacare, she will likely die by Obamacare- accomplishing nothing because she didn't get what she wanted.
She's using Obamacare the same way Obama used 'present'.
Comparing Bachamnn to Paul is not helping your case.
You were right to begin with. I am wasting my breath.
Some are just too thick to grok what happened and no amount of explaining can help.
This is the third time she has went against my wishes. I crossed her off my list when she voted for the last debt increase.
She added that to the pledge when she signed it.
Obamacare must have been a subpoint somewhere. You’re clearly missing it. /s
Yes, I did take a class in logic and can tell you that your comment shows none.
Yep, hubby can expect the migraine excuse tonight...
Thanks for the reply. I didn’t know it was THAT bad. All I know is that there has always been a little clinker, a little drag in my spirit where she is concerned. I just can’t get too enthused about Bachmann. I never have felt free to get out the checkbook with her like I do with Sarah Palin.
Is he lying?
I don’t do links, never have done. And she did say it, but fine, just ignore my posts. LOL
