Hoekstra may change his mind and become a candidate. In related news, Debbie Stabenow’s popularity is falling again. I had just about written this race off.

Levin’s a communist and we need an American to be the MAJORITY SASC Lead. Do you suppose a couple of Military contracts would be job creators for contractors in MI?

Even if he is, who cares if he can do what needs to be done for Michigan.
Stabenow may indeed be a very nice lady but she’s “dangerously incompetent”.
This ain’t no party, this ain’t no disco. This ain’t no foolin’ around.

you can’t say hoekstra’s a re-tread, then suggest devos. he lost the gov election too.
i agree we can do better, but we don’t have much to work with. people that we like and would support either haven’t announced or are unlikely to win.

Exactly. I'd like to see McCotter run but he would have an uphill climb since most Michiganders had never heard of him prior to a couple of years ago. Its unfortunate but we really do have very few people who could mount a serious challenge to either Stabenow or Levin.
Also I like the idea of replacing Hoekstra with a more conservative representative in the house.

What little I know about Gary Glenn makes him sound like a great potential replacement in the house for Hoekstra. He’d need to get himself into that district and live there for a while.

The Constitution does not require that the candidate live in the congressional district. Just in the state.

McCotter needs to keep up his run for presidency. i think that'll draw a large number of MI voters away from romney, splitting the moderate vote, and give a conservative a chance of taking MI in the primary.
besides, we don't need another pro big labour bailout granting type in the senate.

However, she may actually be a real C***. She is that. On steroids. She got her start here in Lansing as a county commissioner, then worked through the state houses...much like Little Virg Bernero. Same personalities, actually.

If this were two years down the road we might have had one that could fit the tea. A couple of the freshmen who won the last election for the house come to mind.

This is pretty good. A guy from Wisconsin whining about a guy running in Michigan when Wisconsin HAD two of the worst slime balls in the history of this nation in the senate. At least they managed to get rid of one...for now.
Does Kohl and Feingold ring a bell?
If I were you, I’d tend to my business in my own state and get rid of Kohl.
