The law requires abortionists to devote 10 percent of all advertising to describing the dangers of abortion and makes it illegal to describe abortion as a safe medical procedure. Russia now admits what American politicians won't.

When Russia is more moral — although they do couch this one in terms of health rather than morality: let us say “truthful” — than the USA, what does that say?

I have some good friends who say that things may change so much that they'll move back to Russia and if so, they're taking me with them. If things like this keep going on, I may not resist all that strenuously. With the government there replacing churches the communists destroyed, this, and a few other things, it looks like they know that moral rot is the real problem while this country can't keep going down hill fast enough.

The median age for women in the Russian Federation is 41.9 years. The UN warned in 2005 that Russias population could fall a third by 2050 if trends do not improve. I read an article about this recently. Russia really is facing a disaster. They have gotten so desperate, they are actually paying families to have more than two children. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't ban abortion altogether. It won't be for religious or ethical reasons, it will be necessary to save Russians as a viable population.

Isnt Russia Officially a Christian Country again?Perhaps. A new church was recently constructed to replace the old one demolished by Stalin. Can the same be said about the USA? What church is Obama building at the WTC site? What morals his government is supporting?

a good development I guess (although it is disturbing to learn they’ve had TV commercials running for abortion)

Abortion in Russia became legal shortly after the Bolshevik took power. That's way back in 1920. It going to take time for Russians to again acknowledge that abortion is murder.
From Wiki:
Prior to the October Revolution of 1917, Russian law considered abortion to be homicide, and it was punishable by a 4 to 5 year jail term with the loss of civil rights. The punishment was reduced to 3 years in 1903. From then on, support grew for eliminating the punishment of women who had abortions, and for punishing only doctors. However, the old law effectively remained in force until November 18, 1920, when the Bolshevik government issued a Decree on Womens Healthcare, which provided for free and on demand abortions for the first time in the world. The legalization reduced the mortality rate of abortions from 4% to 0.28%. [3]
