To: Red Badger

Does anybody know what kind of equipment they used to intercept the phone calls? I used to be able to do it with high end communication receivers before they all went digital. Now you have to be a government agency to purchase the good stuff. At least in this country...

Maybe that’s the scandal. Government agencies were feeding info to the tabs................just a guess...............

Apparently no equipment was used...The phones were sold with preset passwords (0000, 1234 were cited in the articles I read) and the people whose phones were hacked were those who had never bothered to change the passwords to something (hopefully) unique and known only to themselves .
