I look at all the Conservatives who won election in 2010, most in large part because of Palin’s endorsement. Yet, you are focused on John McCain. I will make the point again, Hayworth had his flaws as a candidate too.
For whatever reason, you’re taking one endorsement and blowing it up as the major endorsement, which tells me you have an agenda against Palin.

Perry endorsed Giuliani. DeMint endorsed Romney. Bachmann normally won’t endorse anyone (including JD Hayworth). I have little knowledge who Cain endorsed, other than the original TARP. Romney, well, who cares who Romney endorsed.
Point being, you are not going to find the perfect candidate. The best you can hope for is a candidate who supports most Conservative values. I still see only one who leads in those regards. Should she not run, I could potentially settle for a couple of others.
