The Peter Principle is alive and well when it comes to Community Organizers.
The Dems will decide how much can be cut. They control the WH and the Senate. I figure very little will be cut. Probably the only way to cut spending is to have a continuing resolution for the rest of Obama's term.
I just did a sample of cuts necessary from what was there on the wheel, don’t know where this thing is headed.I am guessing that the items you listed are included in the larger areas on the budget wheel.
” Podesto and Juan blaming Bush tax cuts for the economy “
After Pelosi & Obama plundered the country, the only reason we even HAVE any economy left are because of the tax cuts.
The Pelosi/Reid/Obama cartel is responsible for the staggering acceleration in this nation’s borrowing and spending.
Is there any way to cut the budget to balance in one year therefore avoiding the necessity to raise the debt ceiling?
Holy guacamole look at the clown on Matthews! Kelly O’Donnell looking weird too.
Oh, it’s Joe Klein from Time Magazine...diagonal striped tie with wide pinstripe suit.
Don’t these people have consultants to tell them how to dress for TV?
Funny you should mention Congressional pensions. I read somewhere, can’t recall, that there is a 400 billion dollar fund that we could raid to pay bills solely for government pensions.
There were talks for awhile to recall(stop) the rest of the stimulus spending. I wonder if there are still dollars unspent, It was timed to infuse cash around election.
Fox News Sunday - Chris Wallace Jim Jordan, R-OH vs. Van Hollan duscuss Cut, Cap, and Balance Amendment
Van Hollen - Repubs are proposing CC&B to manipulate the constitution to slash education, medicare, etc. It’s dangerous.
Jim Jordan says Van Hollen calling balancing the budget -dangerous, is unbelievable.
Neither Van Hollen or Jordan are fans of the McConnell plan. Wallace asks if it’s a choice what will Van Hollen do - says we won’t default on the debt. Jordan says NO on the McConnell plan. House Conservatives won’t support it....it’s kicking the can down the road. Says Dems/obama won’t put any plans out there.
Grand bargain - CBO Director was asked to comment/review obama’s 4 Trillion spending cut plan (or something like that). CBO director said:”We don’t estimate speeches” - LOLOL
Jim Jordan says....all this spending that obama/dems did in the last congress, we get elected, now he wants us to pay for all this spending AND increase taxes?- it’s ridiculous! obama’s spending cuts all happen in the out years, but the taxes come now. We’re not falling for the old Lucy/Charlie Brown/football scenario anymore....lolol
Liz Cheney gets it better than any of them, including Kristol the condescending “conservative.”
Wow, very inspiring essay: you should change your handle to Tom Paine Lives.
I don't think so. I can smell something burning all the way up here in the Delaware swamps, emanating from the Florida swamps I suspect.
But hey, I hear you.
Let me throw this out....IF there was a pub with the ability to effectively communicate, as well as a realistic body to carve and create "talking points" (I know they're bad words but bear with me)...we could maybe convince the American people. God knows we've got enough venues to get the word out besides the Lamestream.
McConnell's a nice guy but talks like he has marbles in his mouth. They shun DeMint, Ryan's good but they hesitate to put him out there.
so we get good talkers Newt and Karl Rove.
Maybe the pubs should start there. Get going on communication and risk mussed head hairs.
You could say he is our Tom Paine, couldn't you?
Sounds more like a dictator than potus to me.
&&&&&
Just recall to mind the photo of the admiring, actually envious eyes of Obama when he met Chavez. He really feels constrained by all the petty “rules of law” that keep him from acting as authoritarianly as Venezuela’s Chavez.
Kristol is a pre 94 Republican....http://www.charlotteobserver.com/2011/07/17/2460714/house-gop-splits-into-2-camps.html
With the threat of losing our triple-A rating (see Jim Petrokoukis’ Friday article on Reuters), Obama will have to cave. Can you imagine being the guy, by the stroke of your pen or veto, that caused America to be downgraded?. It’s no time to take the gun from his head. Oh dear, is that too violent an allegory?
I know.
If FNS, and FNC in general, truly wanted to be Fair and Balanced, they could identify and recite the Crap du jour (RATpoints) being exuded on all other networks. Then they could allow the conservative Congressman/Senator/candidate to respond uninterupted for the next several minutes and then thank them for being on the show.
