She must have misspoke don't you know. [sarcasm]
Perry is no RINO. If Palin doesn’t run I hope Perry gets in as there is nothing else going on.
Perry will be whatever he needs to be to win the election. He is a pro with plenty of practice.
Why would we elect another big government atheistic socialist? That would be classified as insanity.
well he sure has a long record. It is all there for all to see. So I am sure everyone can find something they don’t like including me - whether it’s his hair, his speaking, the state he is from, the fact he is a well-oiled politician or the infamous vaccination bill. Whatever. But that does not make him a RINO.
The pickings are quite slim. If Palin doesn’t get in it might be good for Perry to get in and stir things up.

How corny!...not once but twice!
Founded by mike levy.....huge Texas lefty from way back
Screw them
The point about Perry is, I believe, that he's a "conservative politician" -- not a "conservative".
Essentially, it's the difference between an adjective and a noun.
Perry is a "conservative politician" because he is a politician in a conservative state -- to be elected (and re-elected) he has to do conservative things. That's great, he understands us.
But, were Perry running for governor of -- oh, say, Massachusetts -- you just might get a different Governor Perry.
If we're looking for a movement conservative -- somebody who will go to Washington and lead a conservative revolution, it ain't Rick Perry.
He's not George W. Bush. But he ain't Reagan, either -- not by a long shot.
If you're talking about Perry, you gotta be kidding! He may be many things but an "atheistic socialist" isn't one of them. I doubt even the Perry haters around here would try to pin THAT label on him.
Pretty much like her description of McCain.
Unlike you, I have no demogogue on whose word my political judgements hang.
Perry tried to seize private property by eminent domain to sell to commercial developers and got shot down in a hard fought battle with the Texas public.
I will oppose him until the day he dies, as will many other Texans. There are enough of us that he can not win his home state, and that is a very good thing.
Neither is going to pick Bachmann for VP. (And Mitt wouldn’t have picked her either.) The best she can hope for is to play nice and fizzle before too much dirt comes out.
All things are relative. When opposing KBH, Perry clearly is the conservative.
Another power-mad FDR dem running on the republican ticket? What’s not to like?
Is Rick Perry Running?
Does the Guv have hair?
Some photos for your Perry scrapbook (/snix).
I guess Gov Perry knew all about these ACORN grants in that 2005 Houston Chronicle pic depicting Perry as an advocate for "affordable housing," and "lending law reform"
(read sub-prime defaults).
Federal government grants to ACORN---2003-2006:
<><> Dept of Housing and Urban Development: $8.2 million between 2003 and 2006; $1.6 million to ACORN affiliates.
<><> EPA $100,000 grant to ACORN in 2004 for a Louisiana Justice Project, which removed lead from the homes of low income families.
<><> Justice Dept grant in 2005 for a juvenile delinquency program.
===================================
According to later research, 40% of ACORN's operations were found to be funded through numerous grants it receives from various governmental entities. ACORN also receives funding from a variety of tax-exempt private charitable organizations: the Bauman Family Foundation, George Soros' Open Society Institute, the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation and from corporate foundations, including JP Morgan Chase Foundation, Ben & Jerry's foundation, Bank of America Charitable Foundation, and Citigroup, as well as the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the Ford Foundation, and tax-exempt foundations affiliated with the founder of UPS.
=======================================
Senate Finance Committee Study (led by Sen Charles Grassley)
ACORN comprises a mind-boggling 94 different affiliates, that amounts to "a big shell game," a biting Senate Finance Committee study shows.
The study, by the staff of Sen Charles Grassley (R-Iowa), reveals four ACORN charity groups give more than half their revenue to taxable entities that engage in "impermissible lobbying and political activity."
ACORN and its subsidiaries for decades have moved taxpayer money into their own pockets and into the left-wing Marxist machine.
Sen Charles Grassley's documents show leaders of ACORN community groups transferred several million dollars in charitable and government money-----meant for the poor---- to parts of the group that have political (and sometimes profit-making) missions.
Sen Grassley's documents indicate that ACORN's tax-exempt groups----along with its tangled web of allied organizations---- used more than half their charitable and public money in 2006 to pay other ACORN affiliates.
ACORN also appears to have been involved in improper use of pension funds ..... some of the founder Rathke's embezzlment was apparently taken from the pension fund using ACORN's American Express card.
This displacement of funding led to the creation of a complex repayment system in which accused embezzler Dale Rathke owed ACORN, and ACORN in turn, owed ABA, which, for its part, wrote off part of the money. (Excerpt) Read more at spectator.org ........

Perry endorsed 2008 prez candidate Rudy Giuliani (RINO ex-Dem who is persona non grata on FR).
Hate to break this to you, but St. Sarah said some pretty glowing things about John McCain last fall, too. She’s a politician. You think maybe she was trying to secure a Perry endorsement for her own 2012 bid?
Thanks for helping to expose Perry for the fake and a fraud "conservative" that he is. He's another Bush "conservative" clone! The only difference is that Perry has a BIG MOUTH and is nothing but a BRAGGADOCIO !
How's Palin saying "pretty glowing things about John McCain last fall" tied to "trying to secure a Perry endorsement for her own 2012 bid?"??
