“Theres the heretic issue but even worse, I think, politically, is the RC church endorsement of the whole social justice thing. Either they are ignorant that is code talk for socialism/equal outcome (of misery) or they do know it, and thats why we had Teddy going nuts with the taxpayer dollars. Not to say there arent many others who are doing the same thing in Congress, but I believe that is what the driving force was for Teddy.”
Kennedy was an abomination, but please understand that there are many faithful Catholics who share your same qualms with the social justice agenda peddled by some of the bishops. Teddy, thankfully does not speak for the entirety of the Church, and the bishops do not speak for the entirety of the Church either. There are many, like Tim Dolan f’rinstance who agree with you and are vocal.
Archbishop Dolan once mentioned our selfish use of oil in a blog post on his website. He's pro amnesty and government healthcare.
BTW, I am a Catholic in the NY Archdiocese.
I agree with you - I worked for a Catholic Health System where social justice was published as one of the goals of the organization. It permeates the hierarchy of our Govt. It’s not just some Catholics, but avowed Socialists. My question is whether this philosophy is a fully informed one on the part of those certain Bishops or just ignorance of what social justice really means for God’s children. Geez, even the Dalai Lama just announced that he is a marxist.
