I worry that the the GOP will cave on this.
The folks outside the beltway (such as Cain) see the truth -- the pain is inevitable, so take the medicine now. It's for the good of the country, and Obama WILL be blamed. Obama has handled this whole mess atrociously. If the GOP stands firm, the country will be better off, and Obama will be totally destroyed as a politician.
But I worry that the current GOP establishment doesn't want that outcome.

(The USSR spent itself into bankruptcy and collapsed -- and aren't we on the same path now?)

2010 was all about stopping the insane spending into oblivion, and taking the short term pain and fixing our problems (like South Korea did in 1997 to rebound dramatically), rather than kicking the can down the road in order to pander and be reelected, but then making life so unbearable and unliveable for our economically enslaved descendents.
How irresponsible. Washington, both parties, needs to LISTEN TO THE PEOPLE.

I have been wondering about that. How can they stop the full depression from occurring eventually.
