You just cited McConell and McCain. I’ve never seen Hatch be liberal, don’t know what you guys are talking about.
Reagan was a “relic” if you mean around forever.
You’ll either understand this or you won’t. I’m not here to offend you or give you a hard time if you appreciate Hatch.
I gave an example based on McConnell and McCain. That really is the best I can provide for you to get across what Hatch has done for many years.
If he wasn’t doing this, I wouldn’t look for reasons to explain away why he does. If you want to explain it away based on something other than age, be my guest.
If don’t agree, then that’s okay with me. I am not the only person to hold this view. I’ve conversed with quite a few people here who understand where I’m coming from.
In addition:
Here on this thread, it’s discussing Hatch’s disagreement with Club for Growth. As I understand it Club for Growth has been pretty solid on Conservative principles. If Hatch finds himself in disagreement with Club for Growth, that should probably be something to take note of.
Hatch voted for TARP for starters. He’s a big government insider. He’s oh so conservative now that his junior pal got primaried. Perhaps Utahns are dumbed down enough to pull the lever again. Dunno. I’ll vote for him if it’s between him and Matheson come November however. It will be interesting.
