Fear Not....Jim DeMint has said it would be illegal...there is a law that SS has to be paid. Do not be afraid...it is nothing but pure lies...SS will be paid...first...The Democrat Party should be referred to as the Demagogue Party. [Demagogue means political leaders, who gains power by arousing the emotions, passions, and prejudices of the people.] Just think of a little child who wants his/her way so he tries to manipulate you with threats when you know that is pure manipulation and the threat is hallow...
As to what DeMint says, until I can see the wording of the law he's referring to, I don't know that it applies to SS any more than it would apply to anything and everything else that is in the spending bills that have been passed.
As to being afraid, my only concern would be whether this will be the point in time that the entitlement class takes the step of trying to enslave the producers involuntarilly, as opposed to the voluntary way the producers hand over the product of their work now.
If things don't reach a crisis point this year, I'd expect that it will just happen somewhere down the line, because I don't think the political will will ever exist to do anything more than kick the can down the road until there's no more road.
