Makes perfect sense. It’s what our gubm’t does.
I was teaseing my wife after listening to talk radio in our warehouse. (she hates it) Music only in her world.
Tell him he didn't show enough respect. You know, "I can't remember the last time you invited me to your house for a cup of coffee, you never wanted my friendship, you were afraid to be in my debt ...", that sort of thing. That'll be enough to light his fuse for sure. Then they should just do what Newt suggested and ignore the guy.
Golf.
I think I’d say, Pack Sand Azzwipe, grab a cold beer and go fishing. I’d get more done.
0bambi , accompanied by senior advisers (those elderly bald white geezers) at Camp David deciding on the menu:
Heads.....Wagyu beef
Tails.....Lobster (no pun intended)
Giving ANY MORE money to these clowns is like giving the 16 year old a bottle of Jack Daniels and the keys to the Corvette.
Now that’s the kind of sarc I appreciate. : )
Congress raised the debt ceiling 78 times since 1917 (the year they gave themselves a no limit credit card.)
$14,000,000,000,000 trillion dollars later we can see this was not the best idea. 40 years later it is time to take the credit card away, even when it truly means defaulting on debt. Russia defaulted, and they are stronger than ever.
When you make an investment in a country or a company, you are taking a risk. For China, Japan, Saudi Arabia, who own plenty of US debt, that risk paid off for decades.
Arguably we went to war for Saudi Arabia, twice. Japan used to dump (below cost) products on the US for years to take market share from US companies. And China could buy the White House, rent it back to us and we can’t say a word cause we owe them trillions. This debt made us slaves.
Thank you for your summons to Camp David to discuss the Debt Ceiling, increased taxes, and budget cuts.
Unfortunately, there is a scheduling conflict. Speaker Boehner has to rearrange his sock drawer that day. Minority Leader McConnell has to clean his fish tank.
Meanwhile, Rep. Paul Ryan is actually working on a realistic budget with substantial up front cuts and without tax increases. He's actually doing useful work instead of bloviating about it.
When and if you ever get serious, let us know. If not, then go pound sand. We suggest you use your time at Camp David to play basket ball and golf and figure out a way to lose your war in Libya while avoiding the blame.
Have a nice day.
Never, Never, Never, Ever Give Up.
Then make a quick speech on how it isn't going to work and they will not give up on their principles and leave...
Then watch Obama stew in his juices....
( this is really funny if you remember his daddy's anti-colonial bent and "O" giving back the bust of Sir Winston...)
Camp David? What a waste of fuel and personnel...aren’t we trying to CUT spending? Get together at Boehner’s House for once...
Sorry Your Royal Fibber-in-Chief, we have work to do to cut your ability to spend!
I’m so sick of this...refuse. Why Camp David???? More cloistering, closed door, backroom deals? These aren’t peace talks...and 0bama is no statesman. This is just plain nuts. Put it on C-span or keep it in the Rotunda....no “offsites”.
I see why McConnell wanted to throw in the towel. Down article he mentioned his fear that Obama could win the PR effort and pin the economy ownership on the republicans.
Gee, thought he was taking the case to the American people, where he could see first hand the high unemployment, foreclosure and bankruptcy, the Democrat policy effect, wonder if McCain still thinks him or Hillary would make a good President?
B) If I HAD to go and put up with it, I for sure would bring my own food and water.
Camp David with Obama in a Bad Mood.
Yikes. What a weekend.
Spending at level of 25% of the GDP is just another sign of a big government overextending itself, like Gov Dayton, he is not prepared to deal with a shut down, but ultimately that’s where he is headed whether he wins tax increases or not.
