It’s still way too early for POTUS silly season. Methinks the visible candidates won’t be the nominee: they’re taking themselves too seriously too early, will burn out early, and will be eclipsed by someone who’s waiting and watching. She stirred the pot just to make it clear she’s around and interested, tweaked her enemies (the Leftist media) a bit, then went home to do other needs-doing things and lay low until time comes. Insofar as she quit office early, her enemies (prior noted) drove her out; she had finished what she set out to, and had to focus on being good instead of being adequate.
It IS early. The field will chew each other up and a lot can and WILL happen this summer.
Palin is still young and she could wait to take a Secretary appointment if a conservative Pubbie gets in. Forget Romney or Perry... they would only sabotage her future. (Unfortunately the Bildabergers tapped Perry.)
I am a big Palin fan but I may throw my support behind Ron Paul this time.
Ron Paul would chew Obama or ANY Dimocrat up in a debate. He also had a LOT of Dim support in 2008. He is a shoe in for the presidency but TPTB in the Republican Party would sabotage him in favor of Obama if he gets the nomination. (Just like they’ve already done to Palin) The Tea Party and other conservatives will need to really really get behind Ron Paul if he or Bauchman or Palin get the nomination.
Paul will have to thread the needle to get past FOXNEWS and not offend Republican NONleadership. FOX has screwed Paul every chance they’ve had. They go out of their way to sabotage him.
Back on subject.... Palin would be a HUGE asset in a Paul presidency.
“Methinks the visible candidates wont be the nominee”
I hope you are right. There are two or three I could support, but they are all one way or another B Team. Better than ‘08, but that was the Campaign of the Living Dead.
The eventual GOP nominee has almost certainly not yet entered the race. Romney's too weak. Bachmann isn't going to win anything. Everyone else in the field is either at the niche maximum or already fading.
No, it's going to be Perry or Palin or possibly someone that even isn't getting much press right now.
