It's been years since I read the study - dealt with when a woman's voice should be used in an emergency and when a man's voice should be used. I'd probably get it backwards after all these years - but both types of voices in certain circumstances - are needed...

Some women’s voices are easier for alerts etc. to hear . . . giving some directions in some sorts of situations.
Men’s voices can convey more solidity, priority, trustworthiness, seriousness in some situations.
If the male autonomic voice comes on, I know there is something making prescription not yet filled.
I don't even have to listen to the rest of the message anymore.
Female voice....ready
Male voice.......not ready for some reason.
