Toledo, OH -- A Catholic bishop in Ohio says his "misgivings" about the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation over its ties to the Planned Parenthood abortion business make it so he is suggesting that Catholics not support the organization.

What the in the heck kind of sentence is that?! Oh, yeah. A Catholic one that walks on eggs.

It may be a complex sentence, but it is clear ... Komen has ties with PP and he’s suggesting Catholics not give them money. No eggshells there.

Our pastor has discussed this in his homilies as of late much to the consternation of the parish. The left-wing loons come out of the woodwork when Catholics start talking abortion, but it is obviously counter to Catholic teachings and the Bible, more generally.

I stopped giving money to Kormen a few years ago, when the abortion ties became known.
Glad to hear this Bishop is finally doing something about it.....only hope more will cut off funds until Kormen breaks its ties to Planned Parents.

It is a terribly constructed sentence, by any standards. This was written by a professional journalist?

The eggshells are “misgivings” and “suggesting” that Catholics not donate. What ever happened to repudiation and condemnation?

Apparently some regional Komen affiliates have ties to Planned Parenthood and some do not.

Best way, in my opinion, is to recommend a similar but alternative charity that does not allow any ties to abortion providers.

Just about every charity for a ‘Poster Child’ disease or other regrettable illness or diseases is forking off money for embryonic stem cell research. Catholics cannot in good conscious give to any illness/disease charity unless they look at the facts first.
We live in a culture of death that has pervaded all aspects of our lives. Even Pepsi is conducting embryonic stem cell experimentation through a third party lab to do research to best enhance their new flavors.

Good point. Political correctness is going to be one of the downfalls of the world.

Yes, I'm afraid we wouldn't recognize Jesus if he were to come in his flesh again - too politically incorrect to be Jesus, especially when he violently drives the money changers out of the holy places.
