It’s not Obama’s call. The State of Hawaii determines who gets access to Obama’s original birth certificate and the law of the state says that if you get a court order from a judge and you can get access.
Can you explain why no one in the media or no member of Congress has attempted to follow the Hawaii law and get a judge to issue a court order for Obama’s birth records?
Of course there are no Kapi’olani records for Barack Obama.
First of all, it would be Stanley Ann Dunham’s admission and record, not the new born baby’s and more importantly, hospitals don’t maintain records for 50 years. Federal law requires them to store records for five years.
The birth certificate is the hospital record for Barack Obama. It was signed by Dr. David A. Sinclair as attending Physician at Kapi’olani Gynecological and Maternity Hospital.

“There have been numerous requests for Sen. Barack Hussein Obama’s official birth certificate. State law (Hawai‘i Revised Statutes §338-18) prohibits the release of a certified birth certificate to persons who do not have a tangible interest in the vital record.
“Therefore, I as Director of Health for the State of Hawai‘i, along with the Registrar of Vital Statistics who has statutory authority to oversee and maintain these type of vital records, have personally seen and verified that the Hawai‘i State Department of Health has Sen. Obama’s original birth certificate on record in accordance with state policies and procedures.
“No state official, including Governor Linda Lingle, has ever instructed that this vital record be handled in a manner different from any other vital record in the possession of the State of Hawai‘i.”

Are you telling me that if the President of the United States, Obama, personally wrote to his long-time family friend the Gov. of Hawaii and said that he is immediately giving reporters permission to examine his original long form birth certificate, that the Gov. of Hawaii would refuse the request of the President of the United States and his long-time family friend by citing Hawaii privacy laws? Are you serious?
Do you really think that the Gov. of Hawaii---by refusing President Obama's original request to allow reporters to examine Obama's long form birth certificate---would force the President of the United States to send one of his high-priced private lawyers to court to get a judge to order the Gov. of Hawaii to allow reporters to examine President Obama's long form birth certificate? Again, are you serious?
