Are you telling me that if the President of the United States, Obama, personally wrote to his long-time family friend the Gov. of Hawaii and said that he is immediately giving reporters permission to examine his original long form birth certificate, that the Gov. of Hawaii would refuse the request of the President of the United States and his long-time family friend by citing Hawaii privacy laws? Are you serious?

Yeah, I’m serious that Governors and Presidents should follow the law. Hawaii law says that a court order from a judge is required in order to inspect or obtain a birth certificate. Judges issue court orders every day of the week, what’s the problem? If Orly Taitz can get a court clerk to sign a subpoena for release of the birth certificate (which won’t work), why can’t somebody go to a judge and get a court order for the very same document which will work?
I just don’t see Obama making any such additional request.
If there was a hue and cry in the media for him to do it, he might, but there is no such call for additional information.
Zero believes that he released his birth information back in 2008 and that he re-released it with the long form in April.
At the press conference when Obama announced the long form, they handed out hard copies of the long form to the Washington Press Corps. Any reporter could simply ask Loretta Fuddy, Hawaii’s Director of Health or Alvin Onaka, the Registrar of Vital Statistics if there is any different information on the original from what was presented at the press conference.
The media need to get a court order if they want or need any additional information. Any member of Congress could do the same thing, if they were interested.
I’m just not getting what your objection is to following Hawaii law as it is written.
