Been reading about the great 50s drought..My husband was in the Navy during part of it ..I think it broke the year we got back to Texas..Seems I recall driving around to see the flooding in Dallas.
Dare we hope for a hurricane...? Sounds like an extreme solution.

I vaguely remember the drought in the 50s, but do remember the crops not growing to anywhere near normal size. All the corn stalks were only 3 - 4 feet tall and had nubbins instead of full ears. It was pitiful, just like this year.
