Failed California GOP Senate candidate Carly Fiorina was named on Tuesday as the vice chair of the Republicans' effort to retake the Senate in 2012.
...
"I'm pleased to welcome my friend Carly Fiorina to the NRSC team, where her many business and civic achievements will make her an invaluable leader and fundraiser during this critical election cycle," said the committee chair, Sen. John Cornyn of Texas, in a statement. "I look forward to working with Carly to elect strong Republican Senators who will finally put a stop to President Obamas failed tax-and-spend agenda, and instead promote the economic growth and job creation Americans so badly need."
...
The announcement Tuesday is her first public move since that loss. At the NRSC, Fiorina will focus on economic issues and fundraising.
"The Senate sets the legislative agenda for the nation. I am proud to work alongside Chairman Cornyn, Vice Chairman [Orrin] Hatch and all Republican Senators to restore a Republican majority in 2012," Fiorina said in a statement. "Republicans in the Senate will provide job creators the opportunities and environment they need to grow our economy, decentralize power out of Washington, and restore fiscal accountability."

Oh, thats precious. Yep, thats going to fire up the base alright. “ <<<
The Cornyn/McConnell crowd are scared, hopefully, and engaging in full frontal assault to intimidate and demoralize us. Not happening this time. We will never give in.
Scratch off the surface paint, and you’ll find a rusty old democrat body needing to be sand blasted.
Well, what else did Carly prove at HP?
This is an insult to excrement.
Recycled feces has value as a fertilizer.
I just knew you’d respond like that. :-)
Maybe it’s just as well. It is true that being active politically takes one who does not give up.
My political activity went back to Reagan’s first presidential run.
They just don’t know what to do. They were taught social studies in public school instead of civics.I’ve seen people who come to volunteer, are then asked to give money, or work a phone bank, or do something menial instad of being given an education about how the party system actually works so that they can understand the bigger picture. They never learn why political organization and activity must be a continuous thing to participate in that, long-term, guards our liberties, not a one-time pushing of a certain candidate’s election. I think some long-time party-members act this way by design, to preserve the tiny bit of power and influence and knowledge of how things really work from the newbies; that way the new guy never becomes a threat, or ever becomes able to challenge the long-time party functionary/insider.
Sounds like your retirement is well-earned. Perhaps you could train a young person to take over for you.
how to take credit for other people’s work.
how to turn a winning company into a collapsing company.
how to destroy the best employees and have them work for the competition....
Exactly!
“Failed California GOP Senate candidate Carly Fiorina was named...”
All comments about Fiorina’s ideology and business acumen aside, the first sentence in this article is most telling.
If the individual the LA Times were writing about a Dem, the article would start out like this “Former California Dem Senate candidate Karen Smith...”
There would be no use of a negative to describe the Dem candidate.
RINOs, Paulbots, etc,...it doesn’t matter where you lie on the right side of the political spectrum. The liberal media already has a negative adjective already lined up for ALL of us!
And the stupid party continues the tradition...
Carly is a fundraiser. I wish her well at that.
My bet is she is there to....raise money via her business contacts. She will not be recruiting. Real Conservs will not go through the RNC or the Senate or House Pub groups. But, money will be raised by these type of Pubs.
