He knows he was never legally responsible for his mother’s bills.
He was lying and using his dead mother’s cancer and evil insurance companies to play on people’s sympathies, so that they would identify with him. So many people are so ignorant about how insurance works that he knew he could get away with it. How many people out there actually believe that when their mother dies they will have to pay all of those hospital bills? Are they frightened into believing that this this will happen to them, like they wrongfully believe it did to Obama, and thus they support Obamacare?

his sailors, and afterward told the first mate that his men smelled bad.

As I see it, the woman died because she chose to rely on a doctor in a country outside the U.S. Does anyone know whether Indonesia has socialized medicine? If so, an intelligent person might consider that it is that government-controlled health care that killed her.

Changed jobs in 1994 again, aware she had a medical issue (likely also insurance companies) and later that year refuses treatment in the USA after disclosing illness (boss said airfare would have been covered) . Returns to USA in Jan 1995, hospital bills insurance directly, leaving Dunham to pay “several hundred dollars a month” in uncovered/deductible expenses. Dunham insists that she be reimbursed for ‘living expenses’ as well as the uncovered expenses.
The question comes to mind immediately: why didn’t Dunham just apply for state welfare disability as indigent? did she actually have a nest egg she didn’t want to disclose to welfare? or was she ineligible for other reasons, such as failure to report income (file a tax return) for any of the preceding 10 years? which would have made her ineligible for federal disability insurance? What type of treatment/income would she have received in Jakarta? Why was she worried about ‘living expenses’ if ‘her son, the attorney’ was, at that time, comfortably employed, as was her mother and father?

Always act in the most outrageous fashion possible. Make absolutely preposterous statements. Your actions should always be so incredibly profane as to come completely unexpected and no reasonable thinking person would dare question your actions for fear of being any less enlightened than you.
