Sarah Palin is no fan of the lamestream media except when shes using it to serve her ends. Is she using Newsweek to get free personal training? And, if so, is that entirely legal?
The former Alaska governor appears on the cover of the new issue of Newsweek wearing a gray sweatshirt with a logo on it reading Edge Fitness. Thats the name of a gym in Palins hometown of Wasilla. Edge Fitness was featured last November in an episode of her TLC show Sarah Palins Alaska, and it also received a plug on a Facebook page Palin apparently created under an alias and used for posting pseudonymous comments.
A Newsweek spokesman says Palin selected her own clothing for the photo shoot; there was no stylist present. It could be that Palin is simply such a big fan of Edges services, she cant resist proselytizing for them. But Palin is known for aggressive monetization of her personal brand and a taste for the material perquisites of Hollywood-style fame. It seems probable, therefore, that shes getting something for her enthusiastic endorsements perhaps free personal training? Ive emailed Palin, directly and via her SarahPAC, but havent heard back. I also havent heard back from Edge Fitness.

She has been known to seek payment from magazines in exchange for her participation in stories.

Malcolm Forbes is spinning at 1000 RPM.
Bingo.
That would be impossible. No way Sarah the Chillbilly could possibly dupe the enlightened liberal elites of Newsweek. /s
Yep, I see the problem: a private citizen wears logoware from a private-sector business in a photo for a private-sector publication. Had she been sporting something from a Gulag on the cover of Pravda there would have been nary a peep from the left.
You know it would seem this is not her problem. Newsweek had editorial control over the picture and oculd have removed the logo if they wanted.
Sorry, “could”
ironically, has moochelle yet worn a dress or pair of shoes that the press did not report on the designer?
of course moochelle pays full price for her press-hyped designer clothes, right?
Personally, I wish she'd worn this...
The media’s goals are to create doubt and suspicion, concerning anything a republican does. Dumb people have not figured this out yet.
Have they lost their ever-lovin' minds?
Palin could buy an entire fitness chain with a few speaker-fees.
They’re are in a world of hurt if this is all they can produce on Sarah Palin...geeezzzz...get a life folks...
Exactly! This entire article is a waste of ink!
Smiling. You’re the best.
of course it is legal, she is a private citizen. She wasn’t running for anything when the photos were taken and she isn’t running for anything now that the story is released. She is free to run for whatever she wants in the future (which includes tomorrow).
She can wear anything she wants just like when she wore her arctic cat jacket.
Why in God’s name would someone be stupid enough to even ask that question? and why is a money magazine demonizing the possibility of making money?
Well, cancel Forbes. I’m not interested in any magazine where they think they have a right to decide who should be wearing what.
At this time Mrs. Palin is a private citizen,
she can damn well wear what ever she wants!
After she’s in office, she’ll be more careful.
LOL its idiots like this author that proves that journalism is dead, heck its been dead for a while. So its a crime to wear gym attire now..thanks for the breaking news update Forbes Magazine
Forbes is the wrong magazine if you want women without clothes.
