James Rogan Discusses Clinton Impeachment
NBC San Diego ^ | SATURDAY, JUL 9, 2011 | CONAN NOLAN

Posted on 07/10/2011 3:02:26 PM PDT by nickcarraway

Former member of the House of Representatives James Rogan talks about book his book, "Catching our Flag," the Clinton impeachment and about his own background in politics.

The now Superior court Judge, Rogan said he waited ten years to write the book on the impeachment because he wanted to make sure the facts weren’t colored by politics. He said he hasn’t changed his mind on what happened; only that he wished it hadn’t cost him his spot in Congress.

"I knew if I had cast that vote to impeach President Clinton…that it was going to cost me my seat in the House," he said.

Rogan said that Clinton gave him advice on getting into politics, telling him to attend law school so he would have a good background when he ran for office.

screen shot from video Rogan also says that part of the problem with how the impeachment took place was because President Clinton was very unforthcoming.

What, lying to the Grand Jury was “unforthcoming”, no way!

Rogan, did his job and voted for Impeachment, knowing it would cost him his seat. I wonder how many of our current congresscritters would do the same. The raising of the Debt ceiling will be a telling vote.

James Rogan is one funny guy and quite a character. He tells one good story after another in this C-Span presentation

http://222.c-spanvideo.org/videoLibrary/event.php?id=193999&timeline

I’m reading two of his books Rough Edges and Catching Our Flag. If you watch his C-Span video you will want to get his books.

Sadly, he had been totally PC-discredited because he followed the law and Constitution and now has no future political prospects. Note my tagline.

Yes, all that, too; but, come on, it was just about sex, and besides, the American people didn’t care about it—those damned Republicans were just like Chihuahuas nipping at the heels of the greatest president in American history—well, until now, anyway.

We met him at a House Managers dinner in Washington. He was a complete gentleman. A gentleman and a Patriot. Thank you Judge Rogan.

Doing the right thing isn't always easy, but it's ALWAYS right!

Thank you Judge Rogan for voting to impeach William Jefferson Criminal. The damage the Clintons (and members of his administration) have done and continue to do is incalculable.

My husband and I were videotaping it...did you see us? There were only two other cameras set up that night. Then, Jim Rogan, Chris Cannon, and Lindsey Graham helped us to the elevator-- with the tripod or something, I think. I remember we stayed way till the end--got some autographs of Steve Forbes and Bob Barr (I remember wanting to thank Henry Hyde, too) and then we took our video equipment out, and talked to them, so they walked us out. All were very, very nice.

What a small world, huh???
