Dopey potheads. 99% of them are Obama voters. A stoned population=more Democrat votes

This does not trump federal law, but the Obama administration has said it is not interested in prosecuting state-licensed dispensaries or those who use the drug as prescribed by a doctor.

Feds won't give assurance on medical pot

The U.S. Justice Department says that marijuana dispensaries and licensed growers in states with medical marijuana laws could face prosecution for violating federal drug and money-laundering laws... Deputy Attorney General James Cole said a 2009 memo by then-Deputy Attorney General David Ogden did not give states cover from prosecution.

0bama was against busting pot shops before he was for busting pot shops.

And if your mind is still muddy from the supply of free and nearly-free drugs, not to worry. There’s a job for you on President Obama’s economic team or as a federally-protected unionized TSA groper.

Medical Marijuana sure cleared the illegal aliens out of this town.

Poor drug warriors. Your failed war on marijuana has all but collapsed.

When austerity hits for real, the fraud known as the War on Drugs, along with other bastard progeny of the welfare/nanny state, will be flushed down the terlet.

In CA, with or without a pot prescription, simple posession of less than an ounce is now no problemo. Legal or not, pot smokers still can’t work for any employer with a substance abuse program, especially a federally mandated one. Most major industrial employers have such programs.

It's now easier to get medical marijuana than a Starbucks coffee in Denver

Probably cheaper too!

There might be more Starbucks than pot dispensaries if Starbucks didn’t charge stupid amounts of money for a mediocre cup of coffee.

Speaking as a physician and one who has to pick up the mess these morons cause by prescribing medical marijuana to patients who clearly have no medical condition meriting it, this monsense frustrates me.

More psychotic, brain-dead losers developing panic attacks... lovely.

Marijuana is not the benign substance it’s made out to be. My guess is that inpatient psychiatric hospitalization related to MJ use will continue to rise.

What a monumentally idiotic headline. Last time I checked you didn't need a prescription from a physician to get coffee at Starbuck's.

Starbucks doesn’t require a license to buy; pot does.

Headline is a joke and a lie.

I live in Denver and I’m also surrounded by associates who play that little ‘medical marijuana’ game. They’re quite open about the whole facade. Granted, I still think it’s probably safer than my “beer” drug - but there’s one thing that the dope heads - who I know - all share in common: they are the most long-winded and self-important yet inconsequential liberal bores you will ever meet. Yikes!

California passed an in itiative in 1999 for medical marijuana, and the feds never tried hard to enforce their laws.

To my knowledge, it isn’t a major issue, in the overall ranking of problems.

Balancing the budget is, though.

There are now more medical marijuana dispensaries in the Mile High city than there are branches of Starbucks.

Good. I didn't like their coffee anyway...besides it's too expensive.
