White hating “black hole” Dallas politician raided by FBI
The Political Cesspool ^ | 07/06/2011 | James Edwards

Does anyone remember Dallas County Commissioner John Wiley Price? He was the Black guy who went nuts when one of his White colleagues suggested that the local traffic ticket collections department operated like a black hole.

A special meeting about Dallas County traffic tickets turned tense and bizarre this afternoon.

County commissioners were discussing problems with the central collections office that is used to process traffic ticket payments and handle other paperwork normally done by the JP Courts.

Commissioner Kenneth Mayfield, who is white, said it seemed that central collections “has become a black hole” because paperwork reportedly has become lost in the office.

Commissioner John Wiley Price, who is black, interrupted him with a loud “Excuse me!” He then corrected his colleague, saying the office has become a “white hole.”

That prompted Judge Thomas Jones, who is black, to demand an apology from Mayfield for his racially insensitive analogy.

Mayfield shot back that it was a figure of speech and a science term. A black hole, according to Webster’s, is perhaps “the invisible remains of a collapsed star, with an intense gravitational field from which neither light nor matter can escape.”

Other county officials quickly interceded to break it up and get the meeting back on track. TV news cameras were rolling, after all.

When confronted by such people, it is best to hit them with both barrels with a counter accusation of racism, and immediately sponsor a vote on sanctions for their racist behavior, making it very clear both that *spurious* accusations of racism are both intolerable and actionable.

Likely the vote for sanctions will fail, but that is not the purpose of the exercise. The purpose, first and foremost, is to “call out” the racer, letting him known that you know he is full of it. And second, to let him know that if he tries it again in the future, he likely *will* be sanctioned.

Importantly, even before the vote is taken, preemptively direct that any post meeting statements to the public will refrain from calling anyone in the meeting “racist”, or insinuating that they are, or the *first* order of business in the next meeting will be another vote for sanctions.

Rules of order are designed to keep order, and slap down those who are disorderly. Learn them and use them.

FBI raided with search warrant. Appears to involve his financial dealings. No real details.

You provided enough detail in the excerpt you posted. Thanks.

This guy Price is one of the most arrogant pricks I've seen in DFW politics. Wears his hair in cornrows, and sports double-breasted pin striped suits in the council chambers. He can always be counted on to make some racially provocative statement, and even on his best behavior, is combative, angry and sullen. A real piece of work, that one.

I could not believe my ears, when he got upset about the "black hole" comment. The council member who made the remark, knocked that ten pound chip off Price's shoulder without even realizing it was there.

The traffic ticket collections department operated like a black hole.

The Dallas County Commissioner John Wiley Price operated like a black a-hole.

Mayfield is clearly wrong. He should have said “African American hole.” He needs to go to Sensitivity Camp.

There’s a rumor that the sci-fi movie The Black Hole did not sell well in a Russian version because the title literally translated into an expression considered very naughty in that language. And it probably had nothing to do with Negros.

Me thinks the pigmentally blessed doth protest too much.

Mayhaps his hand is in the quantum singularity cookie jar?

Ooops! I'm such a racist for saying quantum singularity.

Price is a flaming bigot who's been a blight on the Commissioner's Court for years. But at least he has proved beyond a shadow of doubt that he and his cretinous crew of crooked cohorts of color can be as corrupt as anyone else when given the opportunity.

Is it not racist to introduce "race" into a discourse in which it has no reasonable, rational or logical place?

By it's illogical introduction it seems the motivation here clearly fits one definition of racism;

"Hatred or intolerance of another race".

>>”Just before rush hour, CBS 11 News learned that three search warrants – two for Price’s cars and one for his person – concerned any electronic storage devices, including things like personal computers, mobile phones, personal data assistants, iPhones, iPads, disks and thumbdrives. What’s with them search for “sums of cash found worth $500 or more.”?

Remember the Dem congressman who had $90K in cash in his freezer? Large sums of money in a politician's home could be deemed evidence of bribery. This does not mean I approve of the current trend of treating possession of cash as an indication of a crime.

No, but I have heard from Dallas friends that the investigation could be very prolonged, months to a year maybe. Bobby Ray Sanders, our local libtard opinion columnist, is spinning this as expected.

I heard a report on Friday on WBAP about the raid, that there had been a release of the items requested in the search warrant. Rather telling that they were interested in so many of his personal financial and computer records, including records from the annual Kwanzafest he sponsored. They were also asking for records from corporations and politicians involved with JWP, including the newly elected Mayor as well as American Airlines, AT&T and Perot Systems to name a few. They’re looking for all the corrupt ways he could afford all those fancy cars and suits on his lousy income.

Also heard in the report was that US AG Eric Holder signed off on the raid. I about ran my car off the road when I heard that! :-O
