“A more realistic possibility, he said, is for rebels and others within the city to rise up against Colonel Qaddafi.”

It didn’t quite work as predicted in the Bay of Pigs invasion.

Perhaps the rebels can ask for some more guns from the ATF/DOJ/CIA.

>>> “I hope that when we do reach the borders of Tripoli, the revolutionaries there free it,” Colonel Ethish said.

A euphemism for the SAS.

Ha . So the pathetic low rent oil grab drags on. If we were not there to direct these incompetent stooges Q would have beat them by now. The Eurodopes must know if they don't control the oil flow soon they are looking at #12 per gallon .

“...that would finally snuff out his brutal four-decade rule.”

Oh, dear - the New York Times doesn’t like Gaddafi...

Wait until the world gets a load of his would-be successor.

Obama and his NATO flunkies are spending a bundle in taxpayer treasure to usher in an even more brutal clown - with New York Times approval, of course.

The problem is that Qaddafi is sitting on a horde of 149 TONS of gold. That buys a lot of things, including his staying on as Dear Leader.

Barry the Zer0, the Euro trash, and the so-called rebel “freedom fighters” are not going to win. Qaddafi will exact his revenge on the gutless, bumbling Euro trash. For Barry the Zer0, not so much, but the “rebels” are toast.

How many stories have we read saying he would go to this nation or that? He’s going to wait out NATO. at some point we stop supplying them with ordnance.

Thanks MinorityRepublican. Sounds like another plea for more money:
Col. Mohammed Ali Ethish, who now commands opposition fighters here, said that even if the rebels were able to reach Tripoli, shortages of fuel, personnel and weapons made it unlikely that they would try to invade or march on the heavily fortified city... "If we don't go in with an organized army, there's going to be a huge mess."
Colonel, but you can start calling him El Presidente.

You folks just don’t get it!!! Gaddafi & Obama are soul brothers. This charade is just a good cop/bad cop routine to keep Gaddafi cooking, and....for Obama to continue his destruction of the American economy, jobs & nation!!! For goodness sakes, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Louie Farrakhan, Van Jones, Valerie Jarrett, Bill Ayers, George Soros, etc. have all deemed the Obama/Gaddafi charade an absolute must for the POTUS Zero Obama!!! I wonder when Americans will finally figure this Obama America hater out!!!

From here on in, the Zero Administration will have to put the best face on events in both Libya and Egypt, so that it all doesn;t blow up in their faces approaching the next election, and PROVE that this guy is as clueless on geopolitics as he is on the American economy. Getting Quaddafi out of power (to be replaced by WHOM?) is going to be as difficult for them as getting the unemployment numbers down. This is EPIC FAIL everywhere you look.

One more Usurping Marxist Onada miserable failure. This idiot blunders into failure after failure and yet at least 40% of the electorate continue to support him—even though they are the most hardest hit by his failed marxist policies.

If I wasn’t witness to this madness I would not believe it. But then these folks, for the most part, are products of a public education.

It didn’t quite work as predicted in the Bay of Pigs invasion.

It didn't work out work in Nicaragua (and other places) either.

When will the US and the EU learn from past mistakes?
