A confession is only part of the evidence, there was still a trial. You stated that you can't convict on murder if the corner's report does not have cause of death on it. That is not true and I used two examples where it was not the case. Maybe in your opinion you need the cause of death but not in most peoples depending on what other evidence is available.
The Lacey Peterson case is another murder where the cause of death was unknown.
You seem to want to just get in an argument over this and I'm not going to play.
