Hmm, how long ago did you refer to Madison as Hamilton's bitch?

lol. That was a good one. In a way, that analysis gives Madison the benefit of the doubt. Had to be a month or so ago.

It's just a theory. As I said the other day, it's difficult to figure Madison, who seemingly went from being Hamilton's handmaiden to being his political enemy in just a short span of time. I guess hell hath no fury. lol.

Yes, that was your typical troll response to a scholarly article. You can only trash, and never back up your insults.

I think it’s a sad statement but I think it’s a correct statement that if you look at the history of humanity on the planet you will find that slavery is not the exception - it’s the rule.

Slavery in America was probably one of the worst, though, as far as human rights were concerned.

Slaves in Rome could actually become highly respected persons. Property owners. Eventually even free men.

I don’t know if there was ever an instance when slaves were allowed to own slaves, but it would not surprise me one bit.

The worst thing about slavery to me was that it brought a bunch of people here who didn’t belong here and created a permanently dysfunctional underclass. If the only blacks in America were immigrants who came here willingly, we’d be so much better off.
