Funny. But seriously. Say, if congress knows that Geithner is going to yank the carpet out from under bonds if there’s no dept limit raise, then what would you do as Congress?
I would try to pass a law that says Geithner MUST pay bonds first etc....except....of course....Obama won’t sign it, and/or, Timmy will still be able to “accidentally” mess up...since he’s already floated the balloon that he’s leaving after Aug 2 anyhow.
They have been floating a lead trial balloon that the Administration is going to ignore the debt limit as if it were the War Powers Act.................
