An alternate juror in the Casey Anthony trials has said that he believes that Anthony was a good mother and that two-year-old Caylees death was just a horrific accident.
The sensational acquittal of Casey Anthony sparked outrage across the U.S. as angry spectators compared the trials outcome to the infamous verdict in the OJ Simpson case.
But Russell Huekler, one of five alternate jurors who were present for all the testimony and were sequestered with the 12 other jurors, said he would have given the same verdict and is stunned by the public anger.

...and Michael Schiavo was a good husband.
What, are you stupid? They meant they hoped she was put out before she ever knew mommy was going to duct tape her face and make sure she never woke up.
Good grief, what a moron.
No I do not. Did he think she was administered chloroform after she was dead? The Duct Tape suffocated her because it cut off air. No air or Chloroform in or out. Chloroform only works if it is breathe in to the lungs. If the tap was suffocating the child no chloroform or air could get in. I mean I can not explain my point any better.
Exactly.
No, she had no job. But ex fiance said on Fox this morning that Cindy was the breadwinner in the family and the father, brother and casey all had no real jobs. He said Cindy wanted it that way.
“...she can be tried if again if new evidence surfaces.”
She can’t be tried again for this no matter what. Feds might be able to charge her with violating the baby’s civil rights but that’s about all.
And now you get to the point. They Hoped. They did not prove it. They just Hoped. Thank you for making my case. You just said it yourself. I was hoping someone would. Hoping is not proving. Everyone was hoping they had the proof. They did not. The jury did the only thing they could under the law. Casey might be...Might be guilty. Might be. But it was not proven and I am sick over people attacking the fine citizens on that jury. Moron.
You will never get justice when you are judged by dumb people.
Why would you put duct tape on a dead child?
This verdict is an outrage, the members of this jury are too stupid to breath without instruction.
Perfect summation.
One of my favorites from that list:
“So according to Mr. Hucekler, dumping your dead daughter in the woods is not a sign of a bad Mom. Makes perfect sense to a Demented Mind.”
If this “alternate juror” isn’t the icing on the cake...
When you are a Single Mother by Choice and even when it is NOT by choice as in being divorced or widowed, you GO TO WORK to SUPPORT your child so he/she can eat, have a roof over their heads, an education, and the other necessities of life.
Despite what seems to be popular opinion in society today, having a uterus does not mean one of the two parents has NO responsibility for financially supporting her children.
Working and supporting her children IS one of the primary things a truly Good Mother does.
I sure would like the names of the jury since they live here in Fl. & are a bunch of idiots. Now if the child killer is released the police have to protect her & take her to a place unknown. I hope its to a plane that is going out of Fl.
Good point. How could you Chloroform a child that was being smothered by Duct Tape? I have no idea why anyone would put Duct Tape on a dead child. But it was not proven anyone did. Do you think the jury had ESP? They came, they saw and listened and rendered a verdict. All 12 on the quick. They are not stupid. Leave them alone.
The Casey Anthony trial and it’s seemingly unjust outcome is just another example of how the justice system, while structurally sound, can be manipulated by both sides. As with the O.J. Simpson murder trail, defense attorneys and less than perceptive jurors - who are just average human beings, after all - can bring a murder trial to an unjust conclusion and there isn’t much we can do about it, except to complain on threads such as this. As frustrating as the verdict was in the Casey Anthony trial, I don’t think I want to change the system. The burden of proof should always be on the state. Jurors will get it wrong - both ways - but on balance, they get it right most of the time. In this case, I disagree with the verdict but I can understand why it was rendered.
Sorry I do not know how to make this linkable for you, but copy and paste.
What it says and started by a woman in Durant, Okla.
the CAYLEE LAW: this would make it a FELONY for any parent to FAIL to report a missing child after 24 hours. It will run until OCT. when they will turn it over to the Gov't to petition to make this LAW.
When I went there it already had 80K signatures.
You may not get in right away, they seem to have had a HACKER job and the site is down for now, KEEP TRYING.
If this law was in before this case, little miss SLUT panties would be going to PRISON, where she needs to be for murdering her daughter CAYLEE.
She killed her little girl, and the STATE proved it by circumstantial evidence.
I don't know if any of you watched the Melanie McGuire case, ALL CIRCUMSTANTIAL and she was found GUILTY. Remember Scott Peterson? HMMMMM ALL CIRCUMSTANTIAL.
So what does that say about Florida, are all the wackos living there? Seems they are not able to VOTE correctly, and they can't follow the evidence of a case. I am beyond PISSED, and can only hope that her Attorney BOZO will take her in to be his childrens NANNY. He and her deserve each other. He appears to be a character right out of the Al Capone gang. SLEEZE.
“The results are the same but a Not Guilty verdict is the jury affirming that guilt wasnt proven. The not guilty verdict actually is preferable in this case because she can be tried if again if new evidence surfaces.”
You aren’t a lawyer, are you...
