Odd poll, not what is expected. Don't know the polling firm and the data looks pretty old. Also, no Palin.

Poll is being freeped by Libertarians who don’t have a candidate of their own so they want to foist RuPaul on the GOP.

Gary Johnson at 9% and Ron Paul at 22%? Their own governor at 17%? That’s bull. Ron Paul got 10% in his own district last time, so I can’t believe he’d be winning in the whole state this time.

Lots of Paul bots in Texas.

My question to the Paul bots is, what are you going to do when he doesn’t get the nomination?

If Paul is so popular in Texas why has he never broken out of his congressional district and won a state-wide contest?

obviously the people being polled were not aware Ron Paul just teamed up with Brawney Frwank to propose legislation to legalize drugs.

I think if this came up in the debates, Ron would not fare well.

Month and a half old poll from a heretofore unheard of polling outfit. I’m convinced!

any poll that shows Gary Johnson with 11% support is immediately suspect in my view

Looks extra odd this “active Republican voters in Texas” sampling.
A. what does active voter mean? Are they tracking who votes AND who votes Republican?
B. the way its setup here, how would the pollster know in advance if those they called were Republican voters?

This one does not pass the paulnutz smell test.

There is no information on Azimuth Research Group, and when I do a search on them all I get is three pages, all of which mention this specific poll. Anyone know anything about these folks?

In the 2008 Republican Primary, competing against a historically weak field -- McCain, Romney, Huckabee -- Ron Paul "amassed" 6% of the vote.

When the primary actually takes place, he will be lucky to match that total.

Discountable poll.

And in his home county, Victoria County, Dr. Paul finished 3rd -- behind both McCain and Huckabee -- with 16% of the vote.

So, how does that translate to 22% statewide? It doesn't.

Paul remains a distraction -- a sideshow. A gadfly, hoping to draw attention to himself.

The crazy uncle in the Republican attic...
