Glad that’s cleared up ; ). The patriot act is supposed to prevent that sort of miscommunication. But, it certainly does no good if an org is on a rogue assignment.
Prior to the patriot act, this would never have happened.
Trust me, procedures have been in place for many years to make sure that stings are not being done on other agencies or informants.
This was rogue 100%.
What they didn’t count on was not being able to keep the ATF agents in lock step.
