Prior to the patriot act, this would never have happened.
Trust me, procedures have been in place for many years to make sure that stings are not being done on other agencies or informants.
This was rogue 100%.
What they didn’t count on was not being able to keep the ATF agents in lock step.
It would be amazing if the ATF guys turned out to be the good guys in this one. It would not fit my preexisting image of that organization.
