I know too many young, female black "preachers" who are unwed mothers, with multiple offspring by different "baby daddies." They preach in their own little non-denominational churches and consider themselves good Christian women.

Actually, I only know of 2 such women, but that is 2 too many.

I've met that type too.

To be fair I've also met White and Latina women of the same bent...single mom to 3 kids of three different fathers, claiming to be such good Christian women.

I'm not saying people can't make mistakes, or can't convert after living a less than perfect lifestyle, but there is a specific pattern to that “type” you describe.
