The Westminster Confession of Faith is predicated on the Bible, unlike the RCC catechism which just makes things up.

The UCC may still call itself reformed, but it’s not by any stretch of the imagination.

And I don’t care what “any idiot Catholic heretic” says about the “doctrine of the (Roman) Catholic church” because since so much of it is not soundly based on God’s word, most of it is junk anyway.

"And I don’t care what “any idiot Catholic heretic”..."

Really, that is a very unkind way to refer to the former Catholic Freepers you pal around with on thee threads (but we all know exactly who you are referring to).

As opposed to your OPC cult which says
Do you ever wonder if animals have an afterlife? Have you ever had a beloved pet die? Will you see your pet in heaven?

People generally assume not. The Bible certainly doesn't teach it. But the Bible doesn't deny it either. And the Bible does teach some other things that might bear on the question.

But your pets can only be saved if they are of the elected selected Reformed elite, apparently. So, we have the Reformed God bringing the pets of the Reformed directly to Heaven, and along with their masters, living forever in the glory of the Reformed God, whilst the bulk of humanity and all the rest of Creation burns forever in hellfire for the Reformed God's pleasure. That is the liberty of the Reformation - only if you are one of the liberated ones, whether you be human, animal, vegetable or Democrat. The second Adam - Christ - came not for the majority of humanity, but for the pets of the Reformed, doncha know?

The OPC is a rabidly anti-Semitic group that has lately been trying to promote it's anti-Israeli message on FR with posts like:
  1. Easter greetings from Israel - a hoax video aiming to smear Jews and that is as disgusting as the Protocols of the Elders
  2. Jerusalem, the have-not whore
  3. Israel -- where there is a comparison of Biblical Israel to Modern Israel -- and you can guess it's not a pleasant one
  4. All Israel will be Saved, but not all Israel
  5. Jerusalem, Mother of all Harlots
  6. The restoration and conversion of Israel -- this soon descends into a fre for all anti-semitic fest

What is disgusting is that this group (the OPC/PCA) pretends to be Christian while spouting it's hatred for Jews and Christians alike

Eckelsberg,

It’s pretty clear
to anyone reading this thread
that when Christians
criticizes your sect,
those criticisms decry
your sect’s perversions and
your sect’s practices
and beliefs
that are anti-Scriptural,

whereas the “strong language”
your sect seem to employ is simply name-calling.

There’s never ever ever ever ever a core to your sect's argument.

No discussion of
your sect’s faith,
your sect’s practices,
your sect’s beliefs,
your sect’s perspectives,
your sect’s ideology,
your sect’s theology,
etc.

There’s hardly even a mention of your sect.
Are the cultists afraid of your sect’s reputation?
Your sect’s history?
Your sect’s incoherence?
Most people are delighted
to share with others
the community that helps
them to experience and know true faith in God.

But with your sect, all we get is blather.

There is an inherent absurdity with Dr Eck’s sect’s POV: God’s not satisfied with damning a person before the beginning of creation, but after the person is dead, he’d have to resurrect him and tell him, “I’m going to punish you in hell forever because you perfectly—though you had no choice—followed the plan I set out for you since before the beginning of the world, all for my good pleasure and greater glory.” That’s just perverse piling on. And again we have to ask, “Glory before whom?” If all is created by God and determined by God, then there is no other “who” before whom glory, to whatever degree, is to be manifest and no context within which glory would even have any meaning. The whole thing is nothing more than an audience of one, the sound of that one’s hands clapping. Even Zen makes more sense than that.

No wonder that the Former Orthodox Presbyterian Church (OPC) ruling elder Paul M. Elliott says that The OPC long ago ceased to proclaim the one true Gospel to the exclusion of all false gospels (115). and The Orthodox Presbyterian Church has abandoned the marks of a true church of Jesus Christ (118) and he keeps urging every OPCer to leave that cult. So the OPC which spawned the BPC and the EPC sub-cults (who left the OPC over disputes about whether the Apostle Paul wrote in perfect or imperfect greek and on eggs on Sunday respectively), will soon have another split in which the majority will leave the OPCult --> hopefully they will come to Christianity instead of to another sub-OPC cult

Now the EPC has pastoresses and soon the OPC will follow

This Trinity Foundation website says "Last year The Trinity Foundation published Paul Elliott’s book, Christianity and Neo-Liberalism: The Spiritual Crisis in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church and Beyond. That book examines in detail the false doctrine of salvation now being taught in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church

The above website says
Thus, the Report continues the conspiracy of silence that has prevailed in the OPC for three decades. It leaves the erroneous impression that the serious doctrinal problems are outside the denomination, not within it. The Report gives false comfort to those who think the OPC is still a bastion of Biblical orthodoxy. On the contrary, the Report, and the 2006 General Assembly’s commendation of it, both maintain the OPC as a safe haven for those who teach error

.....

Men within the OPC, including at least one member of the Committee itself, teach heresy regarding the Gospel and many other fundamentals of the faith.
you can read the details at the link on page 109 why the Former Orthodox Presbyterian Church (OPC) ruling elder Paul M. Elliott says that

Why does a former ruling elder of the OPC say that? Well, he gives his reasons in his book about the heresy that he believes the OPC is following and he is urging every OPCer to leave. You can read it too if you want -- and if you disagree with him, he's given his posting and email address in the book. accordingly.

The author’s thesis is that the Orthodox Presbyterian Church (OPC) is today exactly where the PCUSA was back then.

"....unlike the RCC catechism which just makes things up."

Don't you ever get tired of posting these lies and slanders?

(note to RM; I am do accusing dr. eckleburg of lying, only of being so seriously misinformed and hateful that she posts any untruth that she thinks harms the Church which too often involves gross and obvious failures to fact check)
