Perry supported Al Gore in the 1988 Democratic presidential primaries and was chairman of the Gore campaign in Texas, according to what I have heard. Is this true?

If so, how in the heck can we suggest him as a candidate?

Because, according to Karl Rove, we must do what Karl Rove says.

It was Karl Rove who caused Perry to switch to Republican, and Karl Rove who ran Perry’s first campaign as a Republican.
