Morning all, didn't see a thread for today so I created one.
I think we are seeing the dumbing down of America....did you read about the jurists? One woman her husband died in jail, another had kids in jail, another was convicted of drug charges.....the problem is more with them than anything the prosecution did or didn't do.
Holy Cow!
That would explain why my mother, who fits all five of those descriptions, gets thrown out of the box the moment she sits down whenever she has jury duty.
your mother should act dumb when inteviewed....she would make a great juror.
Did they listen to the same summation I did? And nearly everyone else in America? I thought the prosecutors were spectacular.
Seat 3
Juror # 1055
» White female, age 32, who has moved back in with her mom
» Student in RN program
» Has little knowledge of, nor interest in, case
The DP law in Florida is being challenged, currently.
The porsecution agreed to those juror just like the defense did.
Jury selection is ridic....how about some qualifiations? a high school education? never having been in jail? no relatives in jail? how about someone with reading comprehension and reasoning skills? someone with a JOB?
I distinctly remember within ONE WEEK after her infamous 911 call, Cindy morphed the "dead body" smell into the "old pizza" smell.
Between her perjury and obstruction of this case, maybe SHE should be in jail. She could share a cell with her twisted, sick daughter.
Oh wait, I forgot. She got off, didn't she?
I don’t doubt that for a minute. On another forum there was more than one guy who comment they fell in love with her friggin “rack.” I guess some men go for quantity over quality. Anyways, forget that she’s a lying, stealing slut (which WAS proven beyond a SHADOW of a doubt) some immature blokes only care about how fatty one’s mammary glands are! Go figure. It sickens me that this b*tch not only goes free but will make money off her child’s death.
No we are supporting Cindy - she’s on disability for “nerves”
I heard Mark Levin misstating evidence on the radio last night, and he disgusted me. There, I said it.
I didn’t pick them nor would I of. Take it up with Fla. officials if you have a problem.
This jury will be as hated as Casey - they had the chance to put her away and didn’t take even a full day. They left the jury room at 6pm and already knew their answer because they all came dressed the next morning - all they did was finish the paperwork. They can all suffer the disgust from those of us who feel they were too stupid to connect the information given to them. It was all there - casey wins because she dumped the child in a swamp and she laid there long enough for the evidence to vanish
That statement makes the State of Florida the party the Jury is or not convicting of this crime, rather than Casey who was charged with the crime...not the state.
I live in NY, so I don’t really know about the status of the DP in FL, but they have it now. Castle doctrine basically means that anyone can have a gun and use it to kill in defense of themselves in their own home. I am fascinated that they have those rights, as here in NY we would are are prosecuted for that.
The jury selection process USED TO BE far more strenuous and healthier than it is today.
LOL. You did, ya big dummy. :-)
Those jurors were unfit to be jurors.....imagine placing a woman on the jury who’s husband died in prison? what sense does that make? ridic.
My husband was involved in a case here. He was a member of the local Plan Commission. The Commission held a meeting to discuss the Master Plan for the City, which was noticed in the newspaper of record as usual. The neighborhood turned out (which shows they knew about it) and some of the Aldermen showed up.
One disaffected neighbor sued the Plan Commission because he said the wording in the announcement was not correct and because more than 2 Aldermen attended which, legally, becomes something called a "walking quorum". A "walking quorum" is an esoteric distinction which means that presumably the 2 Aldermanic members who came to the meeting could have blocked any decision taken later.
In any case, all of the Plan commission was found guilty, even though they had nothing to do with publishing the notice, or the wording of it. The City Clerk (a paid employee) takes care of publishing and wording all public notices. Yet, the unpaid Plan Commission was found guilty of something they didn't do and never saw.
When they were choosing members of the jury, they allowed the spouse of one of my husband's employees to sit on the jury, a conflict of interest to be sure. My husband (her husband's boss) was one of the accused!
What we want to know is just exactly 'what' did they deliberate over to arrive at a not guilty decision.
