Morning all, didn't see a thread for today so I created one.
I hope her parents are happy they helped get their lying murderous daughter off by lying under oath themselves.
They deserve one another.
I have absolutely no respect for any of them.
They didn’t care that JUSTICE FOR CAYLEE was bought and paid for with a check from them (AGAIN).
For sure we will be hearing about her again and it won’t be positive.
>>... most of what we know was spoon fed by NG the nut job x prosecutor.......who, as she screams at her guests knows full well what the defense is doing and that they have every right to use ever tool available......”<<
You are a hysterical idiot. Are you on drugs, perhaps?
Back at you.
That jury was a definite defense ally from the descriptions given.
You are wrong - there was as much if not more evidence in this case, including the fact that caylee wasn’t old enough to drive off by herself - she was in her mother’s custody when she died. Lacy Peterson could drive away and could have been thought to have met with foul play
Little kids are seen as a dime a dozen.Yup.
“Could the State of FL or the judge “un-do” today’s verdict?”
No.
It’s double jeopardy plain and simple. You cannot reverse an acquittal.
Who says you can’t vote on your gut? I know this probably isn’t right, but if I was 51% sure someone was guilty, I’d vote to convict. There’s a reason it’s your gut. My gut told me Obama would be an utter disaster. Guess what, my gut was right.
My problem is with present day jury selection. It has become scientific to the point that the defense attorney's strive to end up with mostly a bunch of liberal mutants.
You’re going to have to buy the book.
obviously not good enough.
remember trials are UNFAIR, unfair to the prosecutor who must actually prove their case. Here we have a prosecutor who brought in questionable theories and was called on it and lost.
What was the actual evidence?
Did the defense actually put on a defense who did they just do rebuttal?
to everyone REMEMBER THIS NEXT time you recieve a jury duty summons....
is she really claiming to be pregnant? (she’s been looking a little chunky)
Since the defense ADMITTED Caylee died in the pool, can the state now go after her for illegally dumping the body?
You are the same person who, on another thread, claimed when Casey was looking up “neck breaking” she was looking up the name of a band.
I guess “chloroform” was their opening act?
Oh no I would wrap duct tape around my dying child and wrap that dying child into trash bags and put them in the trunk of my car until I could figure out what to do next when the smell got to the point I had to abandon my car next to a dumpster. Then I would go with my latest main squeeze to Blockbuster rent a movie and spend the next 24 hours having 'high' sex with my latest main squeeze. Beyond ridiculous and as close to demonic as can possibly be demonstrated by our hip and hopping culture.
Thanks for the unemotional, reasoned reply - they’re pretty rare today.
I agree with what you’re saying, but the point I was trying to make is that lying to police about something doesn’t infer guilt for the larger crime.
There is a very popular youtube video of a lecture given by a law professor and a cop called “never talk to the police” that addresses this exact point. In his example, a person gives the police an alibi that is in conflict with a mistaken acquaintance - now that his alibi is wrongfully broken, a conviction for the crime is almost assured.
“Beyond a reasonable doubt” does not mean “100% certain.”
“So it was a jury of HER peers...?”
Obviously.
More than that, they've become disposable. Offing 50 million of them will do that to a society.
They suggested he killed her to be free because a baby was on the way, any day. No one saw him kill her, there was no cause of death because the body was eaten and mutiliated by fish and bloat. Lacy was at least old enough to drive away by herself or answer a door to a stranger bent on harming her - Caylee wasn’t. Caylee was with her mother, and it was testified to by George that he saw her drive away with Casey. At least Scott had the sense to pretend to be sad for a day or two after his wife disappeared.
