Despite irresponsible political ads showing an old lady in a wheelchair being dumped over a cliff, the people who are really in danger of being dumped over a cliff are the younger generation, who are paying into Social Security but are unlikely to get back anything like what they are paying in. The money that young workers are paying into Social Security today is not being put aside to pay for their retirement. It is being spent today, paying the pensions of the retired generation and it cant even cover that in the years ahead.![](http://www.zgeek.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=43317&cid=18)

This is more or less how Herman Cain put it at the last debate, that it was our grandchildren going off a cliff instead.
Maybe someday, a politician will ahve the balls to stand up and say:
“Yes, it’s broke. Yes, it sucks...and no, there’s nothing we can do. Tough sh*t. Should’ve voted for better leaders back in the 60s and 70s.”
