Marijuana and psychedelic drugs abound ...Around 3,500 people were already camping out in the Skookum Meadows area -- and organizers said the number would likely triple the population of Skamania Co.
Skamania County Sheriff Dave Brown said his department has used the past two weeks to prepare for the influx of as many as 20,000 visitors.
We're obviously a small county and our resources are limited. We have a small jail that's two-thirds full right now and we could fill that up over the next week, Brown said. Yeah, I'm concerned about that and I'm concerned the taxpayers in this county are covering the cost.
Brown also suggested that anyone who is not part of the Rainbow Family gathering should avoid the camping areas for the next couple weeks

Don’t drink the water downstream

Being a resident of SW Washington, and not too far from the ‘gathering’ area, I can tell you that a huge % of this crowd is about as pathetic as I’ve ever seen. Most of them haven’t seen a shower or a job in many, many years.
The word is that a group of these so called ‘peaceful’ people recently went into the new Walmart in Woodland and urinated on the produce. As soon as the store threw it out, the hippies gathered it up for their own personal consumption. Obama supporters for sure...
I thought I smelled hippies.
Ah the Rainbow Methlab Family comes to ruin another forest. How many millions is it going to cost to clean up their mess?
Pray for America
We used to have the Rainbow Farm here in southern Michigan. That ended up with an attempted FBI raid and owners dead. It sounded like the typical heavy handed FBI story till a gay acquaintance told me about what really went on down there.
He and his partner aren’t flamboyant gays but wanted to do something with other like minded gays so they went to a picnic for gay families and friends at The Rainbow Farm. He said there were guys having sex in the mud and even a guy in a tub full of piss with others standing around pissing on him. While this was going on there were children wandering around in sight of that crap.
Today, I think they shouldn’t have risked the lives of FBI agents to raid the place. They should have napalmed it from the air.
There's a pic in the below AP article link from yesterday that shows some of these fine upstanding citizens, they just couldn't figure out why a cop would pull them over for not using a turn signal.
BTW, I just love that bus, it reminds me of the smelly hippie '60s.
Rainbows, locals bemoan Forest Service presence
Oh, regarding the title, there's a few locals that are difficult to differentiate from the Rainbows.
Hell, I won't even drink the water down STATE!
Thanks for the ping.
Maybe we need Cartman and friends to play Slayer death metal really loud to make them go screaming back into the woods.
Christy Covington, a Forest Service spokeswoman brought in with the incident management team, said the agency manages Rainbow Family gatherings similar to how it manages natural disasters, such as hurricanes or wildfires.
Lol!
Yep. I'd treat them like I would a "natural disaster" too!
They won’t allow them to swim in the Columbia River... they leave a ring.
LOL! Christy’s got it right. I’m happy to see they plan for this bunch in advance, after past years with this crowd it’s the smart thing to do.
Good one!
I read the second paragraph of your post and got sick.
these losers refuse to grow up or have any type of responsibility....and, then, demand respect from others
The words "posse" and "militia" come to mind.

Nuke them from orbit, it’s the only way to be sure.
Yes, what you said.
Or.........arrest ‘em and send ‘em to Sheriff Joe. A few months on a chain gang might do ‘em some good.
