A few years ago, a black SUV happened to pull into the parking lot in back of our Support The Troops rally. As I approached the vehicle to thank them for stopping, I realised Gary Sinese driving. He put out a hand, and reluctantly said who he was. He must have thought that my big smile was because of his acclaim as an actor, but the truth is I was thrilled for his patriotism and devotion to the troops. It wasn’t til a later when I told him.

Gary is a fantastic American! An American’s American. He is an inspiration and real role model.

I’m still PO’d that Gary Sinise didn’t get the Oscar for his portrayal of Lt. Dan in “Forrest Gump”. What a ripoff! The jerks in Hollyweird sure screwed up that Oscar. This old vet says that Sinise is The Man!
