If I lived in Chicago (and I never would), I would be more afraid of this guy and his brown shirts than I would of the local punks and thugs. This guy carries a gun and a badge but possesses no common sense, morals or ethics. He’s just one of the local punks and thugs that got promoted.
Nope, McCarthy is an import from New Jersey. He will rapidly lose the respect of Chicago’s cops and probably will be gone before a year is out.
No Chicago cop would have gone down and tried to out-Pflager Pfalger. They know he is just another Catholic Commie helping mire the Blacks in stupidity.
This typically happens with big city police departments that tend not to promote from within. The chiefs tend to be political appointees that past muster with the most idealogic city politicians, yet do not know jack squat about that particular city. So it happens in Chicago, San Antonio, and it has happened with Houston TX (as in out-of-town Lee P Brown).
I bash Minnesota cops a lot, but St Paul has been an exception. St. Paul tends to promote from within, and their current chief is up through the ranks.
Daley (jr) did promote the top cops from within. Rahm has blown this one it looks like.
Being Catholic has nothing to do with it. He’s a liberal commie.
I wouldn’t want people to think that McCarthy could have gone into any Catholic Church and sported the kind of crap he did.

There's usually a good bash on McCarthy every week or so. Garry-Boy is one of those "cops" who believe that laws are for the peasants, not The Blue Gang.
