Interesting. I had assumed that because rap events (around here) generate news of uptown gang fights, that they were largely attended by the gang members. I guess the rest of the attendees just attend and leave quietly, and don’t make the morning news.

You don't want to hang around for the "after event party" but if you are paying 180 bucks to hear some "artist" recite bad poetry about how all the rich must die while he and a pack of scantily clad female prance around wearing enough jewelry to buy a small third world country then you are pretty safe.
