First, yes, there are too many government employees.

However, my wife is a Federal employee, who spent time in the private sector, and I resent the notion that they’re all “on foodstamps and welfare” otherwise.

She could vouch that at least some of her coworkers are otherwise pretty worthless outside government, however.

That said, if my wife lost her job, we’d lose everything, since, thanks to the Obama economy as well as other things, I make considerably less money than I used to.

It is sure a mess. I see no fix no matter what Party is in there. Hang on it is gonna get bumpy.

There is always one.

When trying to make a point, someone always has to find a "but" in it, and a personal scenario as reason to object to any opinion or idea.

My opinion isn't going to make one iota of difference about your wife's job, or the level of layoffs...it's just my opinion.

During the obama reign we've quadrupled the size of government adding hundreds of thousands of useless, union-driven jobs.

THAT was my point...NOT your wife.

Sometimes I don't know why I even bother.

In this economy, very few companies will hire someone laid off from a government job as their last major employment, so it's foodstamps and welfare. I hope it doesn't get that bad for you.
