Rep. Todd Akin, a Republican, was discussing NBCs recent removal of the words under God from a clip of the Pledge of Allegiance during coverage of the U.S. Open.
Well, I think NBC has a long record of being very liberal, and at the heart of liberalism really is a hatred for God and a belief that government should replace God," Akin told radio host Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council. "This is a systematic effort to try to separate our faith and God, which is a source in our belief in individual liberties, from our country. And when you do that you tear the heart out of our country.

and he apologized for telling the truth? Why are Republicans such sissies?
Spineless about the truth?
Why apologize? They hate God and prove it everyday.
Coward.
Good boy for apologizing,,,, now, go get them some coffee and don’t get uppity again. Wuss
So, it's sort of a second-hand hatred.
I have no idea why he apologized. His office is right down the street from where I live, so I am thinking of stopping in on the way home and telling him I support what he said. I’ll also tell him, he should not have apologized for the truth.
Yes, why apologize for saying the truth?
“This morning I stated that, as the world turned, the Sun was observed to be rising in the east. And I would like to sincerely apologize to those, mostly frequent contributors to MSNBC, who were offended by my use of the words “morning”, “the world”, “the Sun”, and “the east”, as something they find deeply and inherently wrong, objectionable, and illiberal.
“Next time I mention the event, I will assuredly include complementary language about a giant turtles’ back, the unturning nature of a flat Earth, and that women, children, and minorities are most affected by this daily occurrence, excepting those who are “differently overclouded”.
Dude told the truth.
I don’t get it.
Why apologize.
Akin, a Christian, expressed that he and his family would never question the sincerity of anyones personal relationship with God. My statement during my radio interview was directed at the political movement, liberalism, not at any specific individual.************
Well, if someone by their statements or actions consistently opposes and dengirates Biblical standards of truth and morality I have no problem calling them non-Christian.
You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they? 17So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. 18A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit. Matt 7:16-18
Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;
Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness;
Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! Is 5:20

I would add: Especially if you know for a fact that what you said is 100% accurate.
Another typical Republican PUSS apologizes for being RIGHT!!!!
Why am I not surprised.
How many times does it have to be said that the nadless GOP needs to STOP apologizing?
We are all tired of kow-towing to the democrats in the name of civility and bipartisanship. Screw all of that! The democrat party has never played by those rules and it’s time the GOP “leadership” got that into their tiny little brains.
Apologize? The democrat party hates God and the Constitution and they can all bite my shiny metal ass.
This apologizing crap has got to stop. Grow some or get out.
Due to his apology, I have lost all respect for this man. We need people who will stand up for their convictions no matter the response from the rats on the left. Never apologize!
He should lose his job.
When you become afraid to stand for the truth how can you stand for the people?
He spoke the truth and then apologized for it? Why?
“and at the heart of liberalism really is a hatred for God and a belief that government should replace God,”
Hmmm...where have I read this before?
