The John Wayne thing makes her look like she is dumb...fire her staff that can’t follow the Google search ...but wait she’s an Iowan herself an oughta know better...just sayin’
I think “Wayne-gate” has already passed its expiration date.
As the dems say, but in this case is right.
Nothing to see here. Nobody cares. Time to move on.
Agree
Apparently, MB takes great pride in knowing all the details being a hands on type executive.
excerpt from Globe and Mail article:
Some close to Ms. Bachmann privately refer to her as a "light switch." She flips on the charm to dazzle audiences or nail TV interviews, they say, then takes on a drill sergeant persona in private, where questioning her decisions draws suspicion of disloyalty. She's described as meticulous and worried about the finer details, such as soundtracks played to pump up rally crowds.
Ms. Bachmann has experienced frequent top-level staff changes in her congressional office since 2007. She's had six chiefs of staff in four years, five press secretaries, five legislative directors and three communications directors.
[ hmm that's 19 staff members that were fired or that fled MB, tying Newt, though Newt still holds the speed record.]
Ms. Bachmann discounts the staff churning as "growing pains" in an office that "moves at a fast rate of speed," and she stresses that many left for more influential jobs elsewhere.
Things get fashionable occasionally which are greatly irritating. That is one of them. What does it mean, to you? Does it mean you are just throwing something out there for consideration but that you don't want to own it? Does it mean that no one else will say it but you will? Help me out here!
Absolutely...no matter how well or not she is dressed.
She has GOT to know that the media will savage her for ANY gaffes. They fear that a woman can easily beat el zeerho.
She has GOT to be more careful.
The important thing is not that she made the John Wayne flub, but how she recovers from it, and whether she allows it and any other flubs to make her look like a wimp (like the opposite of Palin).
The John Wayne Gacy vs. John Wayne issue is a total smear job. My belief is that it is complete coincidence that Gacy was from Waterloo. The reference is rooted in the fact that John Wayne’s parents lived in Waterloo, then moved briefly before his birth. It’s a totally valid reference to the values of that community. I giver her credit for not trying to explain it away and simply staying “on message”. She is doing a lot of that - ignore the question and it’s premise, then articulate your desired point to the press.
