Waterloo, Iowa--At times off-message during her political career, Michele Bachmann demonstrated at the launch of her GOP presidential bid that she can be disciplined, especially with the media. (Snip) Her staff repeatedly blocked CNN's attempts to question the candidate after her speech. At one point, Bachmann's husband, Marcus let his elbow do the talking. Instead, Bachmann did a round of interviews with the Iowa media. News crews from Minnesota objected that they were being shut out by their home town Congresswoman. None of that seemed to bother the Iowans

I don’t see the MSM giving her kid gloves treatment. Tonight CBS suggested she “stonewalled” Bob Scheiffer in an interview. ABC flat out portrays her as a fringe candidate who says extremist things including claiming that Obama’s attitudes are anti-American. She’s being portrayed in a negative, not positive light.

I do believe she’s leaving Palin at the starting gate. It’s time for those planning on running to declare their intentions and join the fray. Fish or cut bait, Perry and Palin.

Why, do you suppose, the level of debate at FR has sunk to this level? We have Palin-supporters ripping Bachmann apart for no other apparent reason than she's gaining popularity.

I would venture a guess that at present the MSM, controlled by the DNC feel Mrs. Bachman is the easier candidate for the anointed one to beat. If she gains too much traction early in the primaries they will turn upon her as they did Mrs. Palin.

During the 2008 campaign, what happen when journalists lofted Joe The Gaffe, or Obunghole a hardball Nolan Ryan pitch, instead of the atypical pee-wee T-ball pitch?

What happen since? How many credentials have been yanked? Questions must be submitted prior to conferances, and journalists will be notified prior to the event that they will be called on?

And yet they still carry the water.
