However she in NO WAY confused Gacy for the Duke. That part of the story is a straight up lie.
Good grief, some staffer gave Michelle this error about John Wayne being from Waterloo and she repeated it.

This could be her “I can see Russia from my house” moment.
Republican candidates simply can’t afford these screw-ups, while Dems are almost bulletproof no matter how bad they mess up (see Obama - “my muslim faith”). Her enemies will feast on this for the rest of her political life. Then again, maybe she just isn’t that bright (as in Zero’s case, which is so bad he has to seal his transcripts). I just can’t fathom it.

She got the right state....out of 58 no less!
To put this in perspective, Obama says doctors routinely cut out kids’ tonsils for fees whereas he will solve the health care crisis because the kids only have allergies.
I could go on. IF MB made a mistake it is meaningless. And BTW she is not my favorite candidate.

I really don’t think anyone reporting on this thinks she is saying she wants to be like John Wayne Gacy.
But this gaffe shows a number of things about her.
For me, it shows she is is not very honest..she was trying to attach herself to the John Wayne mystic and cash in on it...with the theme of returning to John Wayne’s America...and claims she is from Waterloo (and is)...but didn’t know John Wayne was NOT from Waterloo but from Winterset. Maybe she kicked off her campaign from there because she thought John Wayne was from there.
Unfortunately for her, there was a John Wayne from Waterloo..and that is the stake that is going to be nailed through her Presidential campaign with the media.
And Chris Wallace is laughing right about now.
She needs to go on the Daily Show and tell Stewart, “Okay. Let’s have it.” Get it all out quickly.
And when is little sister coming to town??? Tomorrow?
